Dental Bonding in South Reno, NV

Repair Minor Tooth Imperfections & Restore Your Smile

Unhappy about small chips, gaps, or cracks in your teeth? Talk to us about dental bonding.

What is dental bonding? It’s a process of using a natural, white composite resin to cover your damaged tooth. This effectively hides imperfections like stains, closes gaps, and fills in chips and cracks.

The final step is to seal the resin using a special light, giving you a natural, beautiful looking smile. The entire treatment can be completed in just one visit!

Bonding is more than just a cosmetic dental treatment. It also provides added strength to your teeth, helping prevent future cracks and fractures.

Is Dental Bonding Right for You?

Teeth bonding is a great option for achieving a brighter, more perfect smile. How do you know if it’s the right choice for you?

You’ll want to discuss any potential pros and cons of treatment with Dr. Waring. However, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Cosmetic bonding is a quick and cost-effective treatment.
  • Dental bonding is often best for those with minor cosmetic concerns.
  • Resin isn’t as stain-resistant as other dental materials, so you may develop some discoloration if you smoke or drink a lot of coffee.

Caring for your teeth after tooth bonding.

Composite resin is very durable. However, it’s not quite as tough as your natural tooth enamel. Make sure you brush and floss regularly. Additionally, avoid crunching down too hard on ice, nuts, or other hard foods — all things you should avoid doing with your teeth anyway.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does dental bonding last?

Bonding treatments often last between 4 to 8 years but can last longer depending on the location of the bonded tooth, your bite, and your eating habits. Because bonding is not as durable as your natural enamel, we’ll keep an eye on these teeth during your twice-a-year exams.

Does bonding ruin your teeth?

No! Although bonding isn’t a permanent solution, it does not ruin your teeth. Even if the material fades or chips after 4 to 8 years, it will not hurt the natural enamel of your teeth.

Is tooth bonding worth it?

Dental bonding is an excellent solution for those dealing with minor cosmetic issues (like breaks or chips), but who have no underlying dental health concerns. However, if your goal is to brighten your teeth or change the look of your entire smile, veneers are a better option.

Is bonding better than veneers?

In most cases, bonding is not a replacement for veneers. In general, Dr. Waring recommends bonding for small cosmetic fixes whereas veneers are better suited for those who want a more significant smile makeover.

“The staff is so nice, professional, and efficient. I haven’t met one person I didn’t like and I feel like they all care. I didn’t know what a great dentist was until I went to Damonte Ranch Dental Care. You will not be sorry with this establishment. Thank you for taking care of my teeth!”
